My Design… Lighthouse Exhibition

The first of the two exhibitions where my work was featured, in June 2017, was the GCC Graphic Design School’s end of year exhibition at The Lighthouse!

The Lighthouse is Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture, designed by one of Glasgow’s most famous designers, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Our exhibition ran in Gallery 4 from the 3rd–7th of June. Most of these photos were taken at our opening night, on Friday the 2nd. All of the designers who had work being exhibited were invited and brought along family and friends. There was also awards given out to students from each year and even free wine!

The exhibition was designed by the year above mine, the honors year, as part of their course. The honors year had to design the entire floorplan and layout for the exhibition, including the projected videos on the screen you can see in the photos. They also had a poster competition to see which of their posters would be used to promote the entire exhibition. The winning poster, that you can see in the first photo, was designed by Connor Jennings.

And lastly, here’s a photo of me next to my own exhibition board, featuring my William Gibson book and my Nuclear Accidents posters.
