Another small company that I really love and whose graphic design I find really inspiring is Yeaaah! Studio. Yeaaah! Studio is a French design studio and independent apparel brand, based in Paris, that is run solely by Stéphane and Laura Casier.
Yeaaah! Studio was started in 2006 by Stéphane as a way to express his own graphic design style and creativity, without having to worry about the constraints of working to a brief. Yeaaah! Studios work is instantly recognisable from the style of the illustration, which clearly draws inspiration from many different backgrounds, including old wood-cut style prints and traditional tattoo designs. I really like the modern take they have on these traditional styles, which really makes there designs, particularly there apparel designs, stand out from crowd.
Yeaaah! Studio also published an artbook, in a limited run of 300 (I have number 238) showing the majority of the work done for the brand from 2013 – 2016. The book was risograph printed in 3 colors by Presto Éditions because they wanted the look to be closer to the vintage look of old magazines and comics.
